Jewelweed Goat's Milk Essential Soap

This soap was made using sustainably harvested fresh jewelweed. I make both a strong tea and an olive oil infusion to get the greatest amount of jewelweed's properties into this soap. It is unscented, as it will most likely be used on sensitive & irritated skin.

What is jewelweed? Spotted jewelweed is an annual plant which grows in low damp places such as edges of creek beds and along highways. It has orange spotted flowers that pop when touched - which is why they are also called "Touch-Me-Nots". Jewelweed can be found in the Eastern part of North America all the way from Canada down to parts of Florida. It often grows near stinging nettle and poison ivy and is thought to be the antidote for the sting and itch of these plants.
